• A hospital or facility can develop a learner assessment for a specific department or system wide risk issue, e.g., patient falls
• The department manager or hospital risk manager can assign the learner assessment to designated individuals or hospital departments
• Staff take the learner assessment and the system generates a specific learning plan, including tailored education, for the individual learner
• Staff complete the recommended tailored courses
• The manager or risk manager can reassign the same assessment months later to the same group of learners to identify retention of the education provided
• The manager or risk manager can reassign a specific course to individuals or groups
• The learning management system can provide graphic displays and reports showing retention of the education

Additionally, hospital and facility assessments can be developed related to existing education programs such as fall prevention and medication safety. These assessments, education and related policies and procedures can be uploaded to the learning management system, further customizing this tool.
